Drift offers a perspective on helplessness, an unfulfilled wish, and a melodrama of past consciousness awaken in a lurid state of neglect. The binding narrative between both artists, Viko Zhijune and Ryuna Lee, provides insights into their lives, and the things they care about and long for. In this duo exhibition, school bells can be heard in Ryuna’s creations in contrast with the rustling of leaves on Viko’s. Ryuna’s works exemplify the teens’ yearning for candyfloss romance and their curiosity in sending innuendoes. Viko’s visual poetry attempts to deliver the ephemerality of human relations while nature and void stand still in time as the witness to the frailty of life.
