Tan Choon Ting attempts to visualise the relationship between flesh, soul and spiritual space. The expressive use of vibrant colours and intuitive brush strokes is the artist’s interjection amidst his search for the meaning of man’s existence. In the background from illuminated sky to the pitch-dark universe, the paintings take a bird’s-eye view in his re-imagination of the concept of time, supreme being and other invisible forces.
